MIN-316 Effective Curriculum Development for Biblical Institute Programs

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: learn and practice pedagogical skills; obtain new skills for an effective, creative and strategic education; and develop an effective practical area of the ministry of education to develop a formal ministry of Christian education for all ages.
This course presents, within the combination of teaching and learning, a theological framework where faculty and students exchange pedagogical skills. The educational ministry will focus on the following areas: effective, creative and strategic education. The practical area of the ministry of education is also covered in order to develop a formal ministry of Christian education for all ages. The following three areas will be defined and analyzed utilizing Bloom's Taxonomy: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. To comply with the course objectives, conferences, lectures, and assignments will be utilized. Students will design an innovative theological education program. Prerequisites: BIB-101 New Testament Survey; BIB-102 Biblical Interpretation (Hermeneutics); and EDU-202 Methods of Teaching.
In the upper division baccalaureate degree category, 3 semester hours in Biblical Studies, Ministry, or Education (3/25).
