GS-104: Mathematics and Personal Administration / Matemáticas y Administración Personal (Formerly: GS-001 Mathematics and Personal Administration)

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: Apply the techniques of finite mathematics; Express basic notions about the history of Mathematics; Use the appropriate mathematical vocabulary and demonstrate appropriation during the development of the class; Analyse and problem solve; and interpret real-world problems in the language of mathematics.
This course will introduce students to the basic concepts of mathematics: natural and integer numbers; Operations with fractions and decimals. Algebra and geometry operations will be included. It will also include a statistical component and the preparation of a personal and ministerial budget.
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in Mathematics or Personal Finance (9/21).
