BIB-502 Pentecostal Interpretation of the Bible
75 Hours (6 weeks).
March 2025 - Present.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: explore the relationship of "Pentecostal" preaching to the basic styles of traditional sermons and new ways to communicate revelation; discuss the affirmative contribution that the Pentecostal church has made to Biblical hermeneutics through a contextual application of the biblical text inside and outside the temple; explore the theoretical and practical issues that relate to the Pentecostal interpretation of the Bible with other disciplines such as study and preaching; identify the motives, purposes, and priorities of Biblical interpretation and its contribution to the development of Christian leadership; and present the challenge presented by the different cultural contexts both present and past in the Pentecostal interpretation of the Holy Scriptures.
The goal of this course is to establish the foundations that equip students with the tools and skills for a conscientious and productive study of the Bible in any ministerial context. The objective of this course is to provide students with a solid foundation for the engaged and fruitful study of the Holy Scriptures. The course provides a broad context in which students will be able to adapt what they learn to the various ministry settings in which they serve and operate.
