Learner Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: articulate verbally and in writing the historical markers of the Trinitarian doctrine from the perspective of quintuple Pentecostalism; use Scripture both normatively and correctively when addressing Trinitarian issues in charismatic Pentecostal affirmations and practices; identify the spiritual components of baptism with the Holy Spirit as a reinterpreting, epistemological, and ontological reaffirmation experience of the Trinity; critically analyze through Hispanic/Latino forums with discussion competencies the various academic positions represented in the assigned readings concerning the trinitarian Pentecostal doctrine; define and explain the doctrine of the Trinity versus Hispanics/Latinos with competencies to other doctrinal interpretations, both cultural, historical and contemporary; and connect the Pentecostal Trinitarian doctrine with its Hispanic/Latino to effectively serve life and ministry in the context of the church in the local church and world.

Instruction: 

This course provides a penetrating study of the doctrine of the Trinity, its scriptural foundation, its advancement in church history, and its influence on the theology and practices of contemporary Christianity. Students consider how the doctrine of the Trinity relates to the other branches of theological study and its importance for ministerial practice, using Scripture both normatively and correctively when addressing Trinitarian issues in Pentecostal/charismatic affirmations and practices.

Credit recommendation: 

In the graduate degree category, 3 semester hours in Theology, Fundamentals of Theology, or Biblical Studies (3/25).
