THE-702 Pentecostal Ecclesiology
75 Hours (6 weeks).
March 2025 - Present.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: demonstrate competence in topics related to Pentecostal ecclesiology; acquire knowledge on the ecclesial structure and the related topics of the course; explain how the internalization of the encounter with the content of the Pentecostal faith helps believers enjoy gospel blessings completely; discuss the meaning of the Church as the body of Christ for present and future gospel claims; effectively communicate the significant message of the church in the present and the future of hope; apply skills to transport images and characteristics that define the Church with relevance to the Western culture of the 21st Century; and apply the ecclesiology of the Church for their lives and in their ministerial project with the community of faith and that of those who are non-believers.
This course familiarizes students with the characteristics that in the New Testament and, throughout church history, have been identified as the marks that describe the Church. Class discussions focus on identifying Ecclesiology with soteriology and the Mission of God in the Pentecostal Church. Other topics include worship, liturgy, pastoral care, and community in fulfillment of devotional life, hope, and the faith of believers.
In the graduate degree category, 3 semester hours in Theology or Biblical Studies (3/25).
