Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
Exam 1 time: 180 minutes; preparation time varies. Exam 2 time: 150 minutes; preparation time varies.
Exam 1 and 2: May 2019 - March 2022.
Outcomes, skills and competencies measured by this certification exam include: Exam 1: implement data storage solutions; implement No-SQL databases; implement Azure SQL database; implement hybrid data scenarios; manage Azure DevOps Pipelines; implement big data environments; develop batch processing solutions; develop streaming solutions and integration solutions; implement data migration; automate data factory pipelines; manage source data access security; configure authentication and authorization; manage and enforce data policies and standards; set up notifications; monitor data storage, databases for a specified scenario and data processing; manage optimization and business continuity. Exam 2: design an Azure Data solution, Azure Cloud data warehouses, No-SQL Databases, Azure SQL database, and hybrid data scenarios; design batch processing solutions, big data real-time processing solutions, integration solutions, source data access security, security for data policies and standards, and a data retention policy; design for optimization; design and implement a disaster recovery strategy and design for high availability.
Exam 1 and 2: These certification exams assess individuals’ skills and competencies in an online proctored format or at an authorized test center.
Exam 1 and 2: In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 4 semester hours in DevOps, Information Technology, Computer and Information Science, Software Engineering, Database Administration, Data Science, or Data Analytics (6/19). NOTE: Student must successfully complete both DP-200 Implementing an Azure Data Solution and DP-201 Designing an Azure Data Solution.
