Learner Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: define the project management process; examine the project life cycle, and the tools and steps utilized in the process; apply management skills to complete group projects efficiently; simulate practical experiences and implement them in the work place; develop effective project management plans; coordinate with people who are key to project success; and utilize project management software tools.

Instruction: 
Major topics include: project management concepts; project management team; needs identification; proposed solutions, project planning and control; project communication and documentation; planning, scheduling, and control; resource considerations; cost planning and control; summary, evaluation, and synthesis.
Credit recommendation: 

In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category OR in the upper division baccalaureate degree category, 3 semester hours in Project Management, Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Design, Informatics, Business, or Management (6/10) (5/15 revalidation) (10/21 revalidation). NOTE: The educational approach in this course is based on the principles of accelerated learning and adult learning theory. Based on this, and due to the limited class size and the low student/teacher ratio, learning outcomes are achieved and content is covered in the allotted hours. (Please note the subject matter areas listed in the exhibit were expanded in October 2021).
