In the modern age, the interactions between people of different countries and cultures are continually increasing in number. Students are prompted to think about not only surface-level cultural differences, but also deeper nuances that greatly impact communication. The course helps students reflect on the way they communicate with people from different cultures. Courses are taught throughout the year in eight periods. See the course calendar for exact dates. Prerequisite: Workplace Communication (COMM-101).
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in English, Communication, or Diversity (9/22).
