Learner Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to outline the primary aspects of integrating residential audio and video systems into the whole-home system through class discussion, skills application, and written testing.

Instruction: 

Topics include: distributed audio basics; sound characteristics; analog versus digital sound; distributed audio systems;  audio system components;  transmitting video basics;  video signal formats; Internet media; and media servers. Course participants are evaluated through written examinations and proctored hands-on labs of core skill competencies.

Credit recommendation: 
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category OR in the associate degree/certificate category, 2 semester hours in General Technology or Digital Home Technology Integration (11/12).
