Train-The-Trainer - Chemical Agents (also known as Chemical Agents Instructor Development Course or Chemical Agents)

Learner Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to deliver instruction in the specialized area of chemical agents.

Instruction: 

This course builds on the Train-The-Trainer course. Participants develop individual lesson plans and evaluation materials and deliver presentations on the specialized content. Major topics include: discussion of modern chemical agents and their effects; methods of dispersion; toxicity; decontamination procedures; departmental guidelines for their use; and demonstration of the physiological effects of certain chemical agents.

Credit recommendation: 

In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category OR in the upper division baccalaureate degree category, 2 semester hours as an applied professional course in Criminal Justice (12/98) (7/05 revalidation) (11/10 revalidation) (7/15 revalidation) (7/21 revalidation).
