Learner Outcomes:
Apply vocal expression, control, confidence, and freedom of breath to text work and employ dialects.
Instruction:
Students will learn the phonetic alphabet, phonetic transcription, learning dialects by ear training, breath exercises for volume, singing exercises for volume and resonance placement, warm-up exercises for articulation, and text analysis for vocal choices.
Credit recommendation:
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category or in the upper division baccalaureate degree category, 3 semester hours in Communications, or Radio and Television (6/09).
