Vocal Technique in Song (ACT103)

Learner Outcomes: 
Perform musical material with dramatic clarity and skill, free of strain or vocal abuse; use basic principles of a healthy vocal technique in song performance.
Instruction: 
This course trains actors/singers in methods of applying vocal technique and basic music theory to the performance of a song (employing vocalizes to increase range, flexibility, resonance and control).
Credit recommendation: 
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category or in the upper division baccalaureate degree category, 1 semester hour in Theatre, Drama, Communications, or Radio and Television (11/97).
