Learner Outcomes:
Building upon the skills in Acting II (ACT121), fashion more multi-layered and detailed work on stage; be conversant with the traditions of 19th and 20th century acting by applying techniques learned in Acting I (ACT101) and Acting II (ACT121).
Instruction:
This course introduces students to the background of 19th and 20th century historical theatre genres, deepening their technique through script analysis and extensive scene work of period plays. (Prerequisite: Acting II (ACT121).)
Credit recommendation:
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category or in the upper division baccalaureate degree category, 2 semester hours in Theatre, Drama, Communications, or Radio and Television (11/97) (12/02 revalidation).
