Learner Outcomes:
Release feeling in musical material while maintaining proper vocal technique and musical values.
Instruction:
The student explores the three energies of performance (physical, psychological, and vocal) and applies them to musical theatre work through exercises and performance of selected songs, video-taped to enhance effectiveness of presentation. (Co-requisite: Musical Theatre Scenes (ACT105).)
Credit recommendation:
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category or in the upper division baccalaureate degree category, 1 semester hour in Theatre, Drama, Communications, or Radio and Television (11/97).
