Learner Outcomes:
Gain awareness of the principles of the Meisner technique of acting; develop good acting foundation: acting believably in imaginary circumstances, living in the moment, exploring relationships and heightening listening skills.
Instruction:
This course introduces the Meisner technique of acting through repetition exercises and improvisation with application to scene work.
Credit recommendation:
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category or in the upper division baccalaureate degree category, 2 semester hours in Theatre, Drama, Communications, or Radio and Television (11/97). NOTE: This course and Meisner Technique I (THE100) overlap in content. If both courses are successfully completed, credit is recommended for only one course.
