Learner Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: solve verbal problems algebraically; use the real and complex number system; graph linear equations and inequalities; and apply the concepts of function, domain, and range.

Instruction: 

Topics include algebraic expressions, real and complex numbers, equations and inequalities, algebraic and graphic solutions, verbal applications and introduction to functions.

Credit recommendation: 

In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in Mathematics (2/11) (4/16 revalidation) (3/21 revalidation).
