Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: define experiential learning and explain the differences between traditional classroom learning and experiential learning; examine past professional and academic experiences to determine what is  appropriate for inclusion in an experiential learning portfolio; compare the course learning outcomes with individual experiences to the stated course outcomes and further support the achieved learning by providing appropriate evidence and documentation; demonstrate independent research skills, information literacy, and the use of the Internet and computer technology through the appropriate use of third party resources to support the learning and the accurate use of citations; and construct a learning portfolio outline that includes course information, critical and reflective learning, and relevant supporting documentation that may lead to a portfolio.
