Beginning Spanish II (SPA-102)

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: use the conditional tense to express preferences, make polite requests, and describe hypothetical situations related to travel and personal aspirations; and describe people, places, and objects in detail, using appropriate vocabulary and grammatical structures; discuss professions, workplace activities, and career goals in Spanish, demonstrating familiarity with relevant terminology; and apply the subjunctive mood to discuss wishes, doubts, and hypothetical scenarios, demonstrating accurate grammar usage.
Beginning Spanish II (SPA-102) is an undergraduate course designed for students with little to no prior experience in the language, this course focuses on building foundational language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing while delving into themes that connect language learning to everyday life and cultural experiences. Through the use of an interactive textbook, students will build the skills needed to communicate effectively in everyday situations.
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in Spanish or as part of a Foreign Language requirement (4/25).
