Topographic Anatomy

Learner Outcomes: 
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: describe the locations of structures using surface landmarks and their anatomical relationship to each other.
Instruction: 

Major topics include: a study of topographic anatomy, the relationship of organs to each other, and the location of organs using surface landmarks, upper and lower extremities, neck, chest, abdominal and pelvic cavities; head, and radiographic film evaluation to identify topographic anatomic structures.

Credit recommendation: 
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 1 semester hour in Allied Health Sciences, Biology, or Radiography (12/80) (12/88 revalidation) (9/93 revalidation).
