Learner Outcomes:
Students will be able to: identify significant historical events that influenced appraisal practice, describe the purpose, requirements, and contents of USPAP, define key terms and other appraisal-related terms, explain when compliance with USPAP is required, outline the obligations of an appraiser addressed in STANDARDS 1-10, evaluate case examples and apply appropriate actions in compliance with USPAP, list USPAP statements and advisory opinions.
Instruction:
This 15-hour course is designed to satisfy the Appraiser Qualifications Board's real property qualifying educational requirements. Contents of USPAP are fully explored utilizing numerous case examples that enable students to apply USPAP standards in real-world scenarios. Methods of instruction include: reading assignments, module exercises and quizzes, and a final exam.

In the lower division associate/baccalaureate degree category, 1 semester hour in Real Estate (3/12).
