Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: identify and recognize all details and obstructions that may affect complex installations; apply principles of complex layouts; lay out and install geometric shapes, circles, and angles; utilize proper procedures and techniques to weld resilient floor seams in both linoleum and vinyl flooring; make repairs in resilient sheet flooring when necessary; and demonstrate proper techniques for heat welding, grooving, and skiving seams.
The course helps students become familiar with basic layout and installation of resilient flooring, focusing on the more complex aspects of sheet flooring installation, including geometric shapes and fitting sheet flooring around pipes and other objects.
