Learner Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: correctly lay out and install sheet flooring using the hand-fit, direct scribe, and pattern scribe methods; and demonstrate proper procedure to heat weld seams in vinyl and linoleum sheet goods.

Instruction: 
The course provides students with opportunities to correctly use different types of sheet flooring installation, including: hand-fit, direct scribe and pattern scribe methods. Instruction is also provided on heat welding procedures for both vinyl and linoleum.
Credit recommendation: 

In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 1 semester hour in Floor Covering or related disciplines (9/10) (9/17 revalidation).
