Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: correctly perform INSTALL hands on project for Carpet and Resilient Certification; practice cutting and sewing seams; read and interpret blueprints in order to fabricate letters, logos, and lines for different field events; discuss the process for making logos and designs in synthetic turf; and complete and pass two INSTALL certification tests
Instruction:
This course is a review of pre-training for INSTALL Resilient Flooring and Carpet Certification, including layout and installation of synthetic turf and includes administration of two INSTALL certification tests.
Credit recommendation:
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 1 semester hour in Floor Covering or related disciplines (9/10) (9/17 revalidation).
