Learner Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: safely use correct tools and techniques to install flash cove vinyl flooring; accurately install cove trim and cove stick and flash cove with both inside and outside corners; and use full pattern and template methods to install flash cove.

Instruction: 

The course shows students how to install flash cove. Instruction focuses on full pattern and template methods for cutting and fitting sheet vinyl; correct way to set up for installation of cap strip and cove strip; and application of adhesive and full flash cove installation.

Credit recommendation: 

In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 1 semester hour in Floor Covering or related disciplines (9/10) (9/17 revalidation).
