Learner Outcomes: 
Apply principles of human resource management and project management to the supervision of a business activity.
Instruction: 
The supervisor's role in a changed business environment; work planning and scheduling; human resource planning; human resource leadership; quality and customer service; strategies for improving employee productivity; budget management and cost reduction strategies; performance measurement; problem solving and decision making. Course participants apply planning, scheduling, and human resource management skills by working in teams on a computer-simulated energy installation project.
Credit recommendation: 

In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category OR in the upper division baccalaureate degree category, 2 semester hours in Applied Human Resource Management (12/95).
