Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to recognize the signs and symptoms of various diseases and discuss the appropriate allopathic treatment.

Instruction: 

Major topics include: the disease process; skin disorders; cardiac disorders; peripheral circulatory disorders; gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, and nervous disorders; infectious disease.

Credit recommendation: 
In the lower division baccalaureate/ associate degree category, 2 semester hours in Health Science, Allied Health Science, or related disciplines (12/98). *NOTE: The credit recommendation for this course continues in the preceding section.
