Version 1: 30 hours (3 weeks). Version 2:  27 hours or 27.5 hours (4 weeks).

The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, 39 West 19th Street, New York, NY.
Dates: 

Version 1: June 2002 - August 2004. Version 2: September 2004 - December 2013.

Learner Outcomes: 
Version 1: Discuss, appreciate, and make applicable the basic ideas of acting to create believable characters. Version 2: Apply fundamentals of basic acting technique to create a foundation for more advanced work.
Instruction: 
Version 1: Students engage in various exercises, such as A/B scenes; observation and object; and the use of one's physical instrument in action. Version 2: This course introduces the ideas of Stanislavski and the foundation of acting through script analysis, monologues, exercises, and scenes.
Credit recommendation: 
Version 1: In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 2 semester hours in Theatre, Drama, Communications, or Radio and Television (12/02). Version 2: In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 1 semester hour in Theatre, Drama, Communications, or Radio and Television (7/04 revalidation) (6/09 revalidation).
