Learner Outcomes: 
To provide the student with an understanding of security techniques in order to reduce and prevent losses due to theft and casualty.
Instruction: 
External security: methods of entry; locks; alarms; safety devices; risk analysis. Internal security: security planning and surveys; control of personnel and visitors; commercial, residential, and industrial security; civil disturbances in high-rise buildings.  Report writing. Law of arrest.
Credit recommendation: 
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in Security Administration (10/76).
