Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: excel in a digital world with necessary computer skills; demonstrate a broad range of computer technology skills from basic hardware and software to operating systems, applications and the internet; promote career advancement through additional computer certifications such as A+.
Instruction: 
This exercise-based course is presented in an accelerated learning environment. Instructional methods focus on lectures/discussions and demonstrations; supervised labs, quizzes, and projects. Topics include: computing fundamentals; troubleshooting techniques; operating systems; Microsoft Windows Vista; key applications; Microsoft Office; and networking fundamentals.
Credit recommendation: 
In the lower division associate/baccalaureate degree category, 3 semester hours in Introduction to Computer Applications(4/11).
