Learner Outcomes: 
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: use HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and JavaScript to design web pages; use Dynamic HTML to make web pages more interactive; create database-driven web applications using PHP(Hypertext Preprocessor); use SQL (Structured Query Language) to pull data from a database to insert and modify data; employ XML (Extensive Markup Language) to store and validate data and make data more accessible to other applications; use Ajax techniques to build web applications; and use the most current HTML5 features to build forward-looking websites.
Instruction: 
Excelsior College has partnered with ed2go to bring this Web Applications Developer program which presents students with multiple tools and technologies to develop state-of-the-art web applications. The 10-module program is designed to teach the fundamentals of developing and maintaining database-driven Web sites. Major topics include: HTML 4 Training, CSS Training (Introduction and Advanced), JavaScript (Introduction and Advanced), Introduction to PHP, SQL, XML, and HTML, and Ajax Training.
Credit recommendation: 

In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 4 semester hours in Web Applications (10/13).
