Learner Outcomes: 
Students will be able to: name different types of managed properties, identify different types of residential and industrial properties, discuss economic influences affecting the real estate market, outline business marketing techniques, label the most essential clauses in a management agreement, outline the steps used to create a management plan, list common types of insurance coverage required to maintain and protect owners liability, list steps to develop a maintenance program, identify a property's target market, prioritize three guidelines used to qualify a prospective tenant, classify different types of leases and identify steps in the lease renewal process.
Instruction: 
This introductory course is designed to meet the growing demand for highly skilled real estate managers and provides hands-on experience via completion of enrichment exercises while building a network of associates for success. Methods of instruction include: reading assignments, lesson exercises, unit quizzes, and final exam.
Credit recommendation: 
In the lower division associate/baccalaureate degree category, 3 semester hours in Property Management, General Management, or Real Estate (3/12).
