Learner Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: demonstrate knowledge of UAV history and current uses; discuss basic aviation theory; demonstrate knowledge of drone technology; discuss the use of drones in various industries; demonstrate understanding of Federal Aviation Administration policies and potential regulations; and operate a small drone in a controlled environment.
Instruction:
Introduction to Drone Technology is offered in a hybrid format consisting of interactive lectures, in-class and online demonstrations, proctored skills applications/lab activities, and proctored testing.
Credit recommendation:
In the associate/certificate degree category, 1 semester hour in Drone Technology (7/17).
