Learner Outcomes: 
Identify principles of effective technical writing; describe general principles of organization; revise and edit technical documents; draft short reports.
Instruction: 
Review of business writing techniques; writing for readers; principles of technical writing; techniques of expository writing; principles of revision and editing; research and organizing techniques; report formats; writing abstracts; use of visuals as text aids.
Credit recommendation: 
In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 2 semester hours in Communications (4/89) (7/94 revalidation).
